- What is GameTree TV?
- GameTree TV is the premier on-demand video games platform for Smart TV. Featuring an incredible catalogue of games for the entire family, GameTree TV delivers games from the cloud right to the living room, all with the touch of a button on your remote control. GameTree TV, we've got your game!
- What kind of games do you have?
- Experience new, exciting gaming content every day! GameTree TV delivers an ever-growing list of popular and award-winning titles such as: Bejeweled 2, World of Goo, Plants vs Zombies, Bookworm Adventures, and Garage Inc. Enjoy fun, family-friendly gaming on-demand, on your Smart TV.
- What do you mean by renting? Do I own the game?
- With GameTree TV you can rent your favourite games, just like how you rent your favourite movie or TV show directly from your service provider! You don't own the game, but you can enjoy full gameplay for the amount of time that's right for you.
- How do I rent games?
- Renting games is easy! Once you have found a game you'd like to rent, use the remote to highlight the rental option for the amount of rental time that is right for you, then press OK on your remote. You will be asked to input your PIN. Use the PIN that you use for other TV services, then click OK on your remote. The game will automatically start downloading and the Play button will light up when the game is ready.
- How can I add time to my rental?
- Adding time to your rental is also easy! Navigate to the game's detail page and select the rental option that works for you. You will be asked for your PIN to confirm your rental agreement.
- What PIN should I use?
- The PIN that is used for GameTree TV services is the same PIN that is used for other Free services, like renting movies. It is a four-digit code that is associated with your Free account. All charges will appear on your monthly Free bill and will include a listing of all GameTree TV purchases.
- What should I do if I forget my PIN?
-
If you can't remember your PIN number, please contact Free customer service at: http://www.free.fr/assistance/
More information regarding your PIN number can be found at: http://www.free.fr/assistance/303-code-d-acces.html
- How do I use my remote to play games?
- The remote works like a pointing device. While playing a game, point the remote at your TV screen and you will see a cursor which is controlled by the movement of your remote. Most games have very simple controller mappings; just point and press OK. Other games will have more complex controller mappings. To see this information while in game, press the Free button on your remote. This will pause the game and show you the controller mappings for your game.
- Is the Free remote the only controller option I have?
- For now, yes. We are working on other options, like the Free Gamepad. Please keep an eye on our website for any announcements.
- Sometimes when I'm playing the cursor and remote seem to become misaligned. How do I align them?
-
This occurs because the Free remote's operation is based on relative positioning. This means that the position of the cursor is relative to the position of the remote, allowing you to play games in a way that is comfortable for you.
When the cursor and remote appear to be misaligned, there are two methods of realignment:
Method 1) Using the edges of the screen: Move the remote to the opposite sides of the screen until the cursor and remote align.
Method 2) Center the cursor on the screen: Position the remote in a way that is right for you, press the Blue Magnifying glass button and the cursor will be centered.
In the How To section, there is a video on How to Use the Remote which shows how to use both methods.
- What do you mean by 720p is the minimum resolution? Why is that?
-
Our goal is to provide the best possible gaming experience for our customers and although some games may work at the default resolution of 540p, as set by your Freebox, most games delivered today are not compatible with this resolution.
While it may be possible for us to support older PAL and SCART devices in the future, we recommend changing your Freebox settings so that the default resolution is set to at least 720p for optimal performance. We will update you on the compatibility of older TVs with our GameTree TV service if it becomes available.
- Sometimes a game I've rented doesn't complete the download, what do I do?
-
If this happens there are several steps you can take to troubleshoot the problem. The first would be to submit your log files to us by following the steps below:
